I've read good feedback on the winch so far and the fact that they market this as waterproof sold me on it...I just wonder since it's sealed, where does all the heat go? Will it overheat? A good try out will only tell... but in due time guys...I will give you my run down on it. It's sure nice to know though that in any event that you happen to ford deep water crossings, you know the winch will still function.

hey dude why did you put mesh at the hi lift jack points?
Oh seriously? now i gotta take the whole bumper down again! the mesh is simply a nice cover I thought to keep the bird from nesting inside the bumper,lol..... they can easily be removed, oh yah I re-installed the license plate to cover the middle open area as well.

Yup, that's exactly the objective of doin it, it narrows the bumpers appearance looking from the front and from a perspective view. Overall, It really looks alot slimmer with all the removed pieces from the original including the chopped top that now houses the winch. I also like how it now has alot of angles and depending on how the light hits it, it gives it more dimensions.

Oh yeah, props to J-money and brian2sun for pioneering that side bumper trim mod. It worked real well.

I didn't get to weigh the ARB before all the modifications, but from ARB's website they listed it down at 78 lbs.
With all the plates added and materials removed...just less than 90lbs.
The winch weighed at 64lbs on top of it. Oh yeah that was UPS' shipping weight with the box, too!
I honestly feel no additional weight in front when driving with the winch on.
