Sweet, I've come to know a few local boys who are also T4R.org and YotaTech members.

Good to hear!

I've been trying to read yotatech too but i cant stand the black background, it hurts my eyes

Go to the very bottom of any page on Yotatech and there will be one last drop down menu and it'll say "Yotatech sizeable fonts" or "Yotatech original" or something like that. Choose "The Morning Edition" from that drop down menu and YT will look like T4R with a white background.

Ok guess i'll be fine with two sets of lights at the most then.

Have you had any problems with the popo because of the lights being on the roof or that they're yellow? Do the lights produce a yellow beam or is it deep yellow almost amber?

I'm hoping to get my lights done by sometime this weekend

Yup you'll be fine running two sets. It shouldn't be enough concern to upgrade an alternator. As for the roof mounted lights I haven't had any issues with the cops, not even at the time when I parked next to a bunch of them having coffee at Tim Hortons.

I avoid using them as much while on the road and while they produce yellow beam, they are super bright and can still blind oncoming traffic and vehicles ahead. Own with caution!:lookout::police::jk:

For some reason I've missed seeing your truck until now. Awesome awesome work sir, looks very nice.

I like it *almost* as much as I like this one ;)

Keep up the good work.

thanks Fireball.. last time I checked you still had the oem running boards and the color keyed bumper...and look at her now..

Turned out real nice bud.

Alright sounds good.
Cops at Tims...who would have guessed

I'll probably end up blinding everyone  hopefully wont have any trouble from the cops too :police:

The truck wouldn't be complete without the tires so after much debate I opted with BFG M/T km2 285 70 17's

Mounted on the rims and on the rig

I have a set of PIAA 520's sitting in the closet(another freebie from my brother) ones that I've always wanted to mount on my bumper but having the 01-02 grill presented a set back as it sticks further out compared to my stock 97 ones, let alone the fact that 97's have short bumper...there was nowhere to mount the lights onto..So I resorted back to using the original 97 grill..While I'm at it I thought of doin' the Satoshi mod thinking It'll give me more room so the lights don't stick out...so I did...

I went the extra mile and modify my chrome grill to better flush fit the lights, fab up a bracket in front of the rad to hold the lights secure.

Lastly, I ordered the TRD sticker and slapped 'em on, cleaned and painted the wheel wells, frame, rear axle and undercarriage with flat Rustoleum black rust paint...now it looks like it just rolled off the production line...well sort of.

My truck came a long way and I couldn't be happier with the purchase...This ones a keeper!

where did you order the flares i have a 98 and they dont come with the panels on the fenders! i love it dude???

I love this 4rnr..I would love to find some sr5 fender flares..

Thank you.

The flares are hard to come by as not alot of owners part them out. even if they did, at times it's just pieces at a time. I got my set from craigslist Denver and I'm in Vancouver, BC.., after months of searching, I was able to obtain them with the help of a fellow T4R member thru emails and phone exchange.

I tried the Dealer and they quoted me $1200 +taxes for the set...I thought it was a joke too! I can't remember the exact amount but I paid less than $250 shipped.......Well worth!:guitar2:

Any chance you've ever figured out what brand/model that roof rack is?

Closest in comparison I could think of is Jaos, difference being that mine has a more lower profile appearance. There's nothing branded or stuck on any of the surface, so i see no way of finding out.

My brother's had it since 99 and he did say that it used to be silver in color just like Jaos' rack and some of it is still showing on the underside.

So after tinkering about doing this simple mod for a long time, I finally went and did it this weekend....It's the Blue Wire mod that enables the use of the factory electronic locking differential in 2WD and 4Hi aside from the usual 4Lo. Tried it and it worked just as explained it would. Another one crossed off my to-do list:banana:

ABS disable in normal driving

Also went to the shop and had them install my Flowmaster 50 series SUV..It produces a low growling sound that I'm looking for so I couldn't be happier with the choice. Now I listen more to it than the contents of my ipod.:guitar2:

Now I might not be able to have these installed 'til after winter or 'til I can save enough for install cost but it's good to have them waiting in the wings..

I scored it from a guy in town who originally wanted to install it in his locked 98 Tacoma, now his growing family forced him sell it and get a dual cab Taco that would remain stock, so it was time for these to go as well.

4.88 R&P plus Master Overhaul Kits in it's original packaging from Randy's Ring & Pinion in Everett, Wa.
The kit according to the part numbers were confirmed 100% to go into my 97 by a guy who works there, and the help of Mauzer, quicksilvr and brian2sun helped securing my decision to purchase it. For $500 CA. it's a win!
