i just rebuilt my power steering pump (resealed really) and now the dam thing doesn't have ps unless the engine is really revving. i am attributing this to air in the system since i resealed the pump. anyone know how to bleed the air out of the power steering system 0n a 96 runner v6?

Try turning steering wheelback and forth full left hold about a second or two then full right hold a second or two keep repeating a few times.that is the general way to bleed the system.Make sure reservoir is at correct level and use correct power sreering fluid.

There might be a bolt on the steering box, that you can use to bleed abit of the air out.

Otherwise, the previous method mentioned is the correct way.

also helps when i dont swap the 2 hoses that come out of the bottom right side of the pump. my bad. its fixed.

BWAHAHAHAHA......

Glad you found out tho'.
Reminds me of when I accidently swapped the lines to hydro-assist... And bent the steering bar like a chocolate stick.. lol
