I'll say it once again.. if the recommendation is to not run it on high for longer than 5 minutes than this is unacceptable. If Toyota cannot manufacture or have manufactured a fan which can operate on high then it doesn't need to put those units in vehicles. I've run fans in vehicles on 'High' for much longer than 5 minutes continuously as that is a necessity in hot climates and I have never had a failure. My german cars never had a failure, my Swedish vehicles never had a failure and neither did my American ones. Hell, I can run the fan on high in my '77 International Scout and/or my '71 Volvo without issues.
How about you northern folks only run your heaters at half capacity during the middle of winter? Didn't think so....

if the motor gets too hot it will stop . when it cools it will work again. a sign that its damaged. do not use max/highest speed for more than 5 min.
