Bluetooth Issue - Not about pairing

I have done my research in looking around for duplicate post as I didn't want to beat a dead horse; couldn't find any discussing this particular matter.

OK...So its not that Im having an issue necessarily with pairing my phone (Droid) to the BT operating system...its more so while its streaming audio, it randomly screeches loud radio frequencies at really high pitches. Perhaps its some sort of channel interference. Can anyone maybe suggest some simple solutions? I'm thinking maybe, simply repairing the phone to the system should rectify this issue...problem is, idk if that can be done. ie...once its paired, its paired?

It would be helpful to know if you're vehicle has NAV or not. The procedures are slightly different for each. However, to answer your question, yes - you can delete the phone and then re-pair it. Consult your owners manual and follow the instructions for your specific audio setup.

I have the same issue, 2010 w/NAV using an iphone 3gs. It is a bit annoying, have not found a solution and re-pairing didn't help when I tried that a while back.

Yea, forgot to specify. I have a 2011 T4R, No Nav/Non JBL audio setup as I planned to upgrade my audio system and didn't want the hassle of dealing with the "higher end" setup.

Yea, Ill refer to the manual and give repairing a shot. I know you mentioned that it didn't prove to counteract the issue but it can't hurt to try.

I have a Droid, stream Pandorda - Yes, I get random high 'chips' now and then, some days more than others, some days none at all. They are very short in duration, but as you say, very high pitch. I have never heard them during a phone call, XM, or any radio. I would bet it is an issue with low quality streaming from your app and nothing to do with the bluetooth in the 4R (much like the old low quality mp3 ripped off cd's long ago).

Easy way to test would be to park close to your house, make sure your phone is connected to the w-fi of your house (and has a strong signal), stream your music over the wi-fi and not the 3g/4g connection. See if you get the same results (i know Pandora streams a lot higher quality over wi-fi).

FWIW, I regularly stream pandora (and other music apps) to my NAV without any issues at all. I'm using an iPhone, however.

If streaming Pandora, there is an option in settings or preferences " Cell Network Audio Quality" and in default its set to "Normal" the other option is "High". Make sure your in a good coverage area if you choose to switch. I have noticed a difference when i have done it. I use to have an iphone, and yes it streams a lot better than the android. I had no issues with the iphone, the android seems to lag a little bit but the other hand I LOVE the android. I will never go back to the iphone.

Yes...yet again I see I should've specified. Specifically, the issue that I am having is with streaming Pandora. Upon initially connecting the BT system with my phone, everything worked flawlessly....now, about a month into it all...tech. difficulties arise. All other BT capabilities (calls and any audio files that I've actually placed on the phone) work trouble free.

If streaming Pandora, there is an option in settings or preferences " Cell Network Audio Quality" and in default its set to "Normal" the other option is "High". Make sure your in a good coverage area if you choose to switch. I have noticed a difference when i have done it. I use to have an iphone, and yes it streams a lot better than the android. I had no issues with the iphone, the android seems to lag a little bit but the other hand I LOVE the android. I will never go back to the iphone.

Definitely gonna have to give this a look over and Ill get back with you and let you know how this works.

Westwind...I get what you're saying....but idk if that'd be a true comparison bc normally (and Im sure most of us can attest to this) when/while we're listening to Pandora, more than likely we're on the go.

What type of audio are you streaming? Pandora? MP3? AAC? Other streaming audio connected to the interweb?

With mine set on 'normal' I have HUGE lag between songs if I try to 'skip' a song - talking sometimes up to a minute or more! I know if I increase the quality on mine it would just make it that much worse, and as you guess, crappy cell area!

Cool cool, yea I'll still give that a shot. Will do it in the morning though as I may look a little sketch sitting in the parking lot trying to figure out the issue. :lol:

Hey yea, said I'd get back to you on that solution you offered. I changed the settings like you suggested and it does seem to have helped. So I definitely appreciate the advice and now I'll remember to check my settings on any other music or audio streaming apps. Thanks again guy.
