Spent the day sorting out several projects. Sorry for the poor quality pics.

First was to purchase -

Recovery strap

Then a recovery hitch shackle and locking pin

Hide the wiring for the GPS

And while the console and fascia was out, hide the wiring for the mobile phone

Purchase some 2 way radios for an 8mile (yeah right!) reach

Then tidy up the kids DVD player

Put on a T4R sticker on the rear

 

[Expat]

And one on the front

 

[Expat]

Give it a quick wash and take a photo before it got too dark

Oh, and tidy up the electrical splitter that supplies power to the GPS and phone.

Have you considered hard wiring the GPS and Phone below the console? Shouldn't take long at all.

Yes, I have considered it.

However I once lost a car to an electrical fire that destroyed a two week holiday in a premo surf spot.

Since then I have never had the courage to fool around with wiring.

The other problem is the GPS voice box needs to be in the open for good audibility (is that a word??). I guess there's ways around that but.....

Give me an engine, I'll strip and rebuild it.
