It was an extremely terrible experience. To start, I never received an email confirming my purchase. The website said it would ship within 24 hours and it didn’t. I bought around 4:00 PM on a Friday so I waited until Tuesday to email them after never hearing anything back. The website appeared legit and I thought the item would be shipping from within the U.S. The response I received was that they were busy with orders and they would ship it ASAP, but no ETA or time frame. Another week went by and I emailed again. They told me it had been shipped but I never got a follow-up email or tracking number. All they sent was a screenshot of a webpage with a PiggyShip tracking number. To make a long story short, it took over a month to receive the item and the shipping company has an F rating with the BBB. They claimed to have attempted delivery but never came by (I have cameras). I went to Google Reviews for the company and saw everyone else had the same exact issues as well. Once I finally received the crane, it felt like a miracle and I could never feel impatient about 3-5 day shipping ever again. I thought I’d never see the money or crane…
When the crane arrived, it was too short to mount the tent, so I bought 13’ of square metal tubing for about $40 from a nearby steelyard. I had to cut the new tubing because it was too long, drill holes for screws, and cut a new opening on the bottom for the cable to come out of. All in all, I’m so glad I did it, because I hate having to phone a friend every single time I want to go camping. This is now a lifesaver. If there was another option to use besides Vevor, I would, but I couldn’t find anything exactly the same. There are electric cranes and other hoists from Harbor freight that might be similar. It all kinda depends on your setup at home and what you feel comfortable with. I’ll post a picture of how it looked with the stock short tubing. I’m thankful for all the helpful people in this forum so I posted this to help others who were in the same boat. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
