I found a thread where Ripcord recommended the Borla xr-1 and said it was a 18 in. and i was wondering, why is the 18 in. $231.95, while the 16 and 14 in. is $135-$140???

Not sure where you are looking, but I checked Summit racing and the more expensive muffler is polished vs brushed stainless for the others.

All I know is with that muffler you have to add some pipe and the original stock one is center in offset out where Borla only comes in center in/out so you need to do some custom work when installing it.

Did you get the 2.5" on both ends to slip over the stock pipes? Also did you weld or clamp your muffler on? Thanks!

I paid a shop $40 to weld it on. Photos of it on photobucket, but photobucket is refusing to let me sign in.

Instead of creating a new thread I thought I would ask this in here. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this kit 1996 TOYOTA 4RUNNER Borla Stainless Steel Cat-Back Systems 14659 - SummitRacing.com . Like what the muffler size is as well as which borla uses for the kit, I don't see either listed.
