bought 98 limited after a long search

After deciding to say goodbye to my old f250 hunting truck, I spent the last 6 months looking every day on craigslist, autotrader etc.

I also spent many hours on this fantastic site, reading and learning as much as possible from members with great knowledge and experience who willingly shared it to help someone like me make a better, informed buying decision.

Last thursday I found a 98 limited, automatic with elocker and only 122,000 verified kms (i am in british columbia, canada, so that equals about 87,000 miles). I had a full pre-purchase inspection done, and compression test showed 175 on all cylinders. Everything checked out, except a leaking steering rack which I am replacing. The owner included a full set of weather tech mats. Four new Nokian gw32 all weather tires were put on last November. Carproof and insurance company records verified mileage and title.

Owner only drove highways on holidays but no offroad.

I am excited and shocked that there are still well kept, mint low mi!eage ones out there.

I bought it for $6,750 and couldn't be happier.

Thanks.... I am looking forward to getting out there as much as possible. unfortunately it has been pouring rain here since the day I bought it, so I havent taken any yet. I will post as soon as it stops...... hopefully soon.

Welcome to another Canadian! I grew up in Vancouver, and that is where my 4Runner is originally from (purchased new in 1999 by my uncle).

Looks like you found a great rig with that low mileage. You will learn to love it minus the fuel economy, although coming from a Ford F250 it may not be much of a concern!
