Bought another 4runner today

I bought this 1 family owned 2002 today. It only has 87k miles. Frame is solid. I had the seller run it thru state inspection before i handed over my cash. Only things it needs is a r/rear axle seal and brake shoes. Sunroof is stuck closed but other than that everything works. No dash lights are on. No hitch so i know it hasn't been used for towing. It has some stains in the carpet but i can get them out. I paid $5800, i think i did alright. Now i have this 02, a lifted 00 4runner and a lifted 04 taco trd. My wife says something is wrong with me!

Thanks for the compliments. I did a tune up yesterday (still had the original plug wires), new fuel filter, pcv valve and a BG fuel injection service. Washed it and detailed the interior today. Carpet was heavily stained from coffee and/or soda around the center console, i scrubbed it and it cleaned up nicely. The dog likes it too, she climbed in for a nap while i was detailing the front.

Wow! Only 87k miles. It looks identical to the 2002 Sr5 I just bought for $6300. Everything works on mine but it has 100k more miles on than your. Great find. I wish something like that would have popped up down here in GA/TN. I'm right at the line.

I guess i am a bit of a hoarder, lol. I'm looking to purchase a 96 or 97 land cruiser with the diff locks next, always wanted one.

So i reluctantly took my newly purchased 4runner to the dealer yesterday to have the leaking r/rear axle seals and bearing replaced, our shop isn't equipped to do the press work that's involved or i would've done it myself. After picking it up last evening i was driving it back to my work and noticed that the brakes didn't feel right. I put it on my lift and found this, see pic. The tech left his pinch pliers on the rear brake hose.

This is why surgeons have to count sponges and inventory instruments before they close a patient! Perhaps this tech needs a lesson. Nice rig. 87k is remarkably low. Was this primarily a city driven vehicle?

It belonged to a mother then passed down to her daughter. Daughter was in college in Va. Not sure if it's 87k city or highway miles, but it was well maintained and i received the maintance records with the vehicle. When i work on a customer's vehicle, especially when it comes to the brakes, i double and triple check everything. Your talking about peoples lives!
