Brake Pad Replacement

Hi all.

I recently inherited my dad's G4 4Runner. The brakes need changing but I'd like to avoid running it in somewhere and just do it myself. I've been educating myself on YouTube as much as possible. For those who have done it, how would you rate the difficulty for someone who's not extremely mechanically inclined? Are there are particular tricks that this job entails or is it as simple as it seems to be?

Thanks!

If you don't have to replace the calipers or rotors...then this is a VERY VERY easy job. The hardest part is pushing the pistons back in.

what's so hard about that?

i used a c clamp and clamped it on the old pads...took me 1 minute to compress both sides of the caliper. Then replace the pads with new ones...done.
