Brake Pad upgrade? (stocks suck imo)

well finally decided to change out the pads and rotors on my 17 Pro, i ended up going with OEM toyota rotors and Hawk LTS pads!!! and let me tell you these things are 10000000x better then the stock junk Toyota/Advics pads. so far the dust is minimal, nothing to really cry about but overall these things STOP and stop hard. doesnt matter cold, hot, wet etc i cant believe the overall difference is such night and day in stopping power. these will be my go to pads from now on. Shame on toyota for using such crap in the factory pads. Advics :gun5:

Did the pedal feel change any? My 2018 ORP brake pedal has a squish feel.
 
Did a hard break on my TRD Pro 2020 about a week after i bought it brand new. The breaks sounded like they cracked or something. Really distressing sound. But its weird because i feel like my truck breaks better now. Maybe i broke them in? LOL.

If you actually purchase the correct OEM pad for the 4runner, not the cheaper one that some dealers carry, the truck brakes very well. It also helps to bed them in correctly as well. I think the OEM brakes are great on the 4runner.

you really cant go wrong with OEM like the TRD pads. the upgrade is probably very mild but better than stock OEM. i have them sitting in my garage somewhere and i'm waiting for the stock to need replacing. i picked it up during for 40% off during Toyota's anniversary sale a while back.

this... these hawk pads are fantastic, yes a little more dusty but stopping power and pedal feel is great!
