Good brakes are definitely necessary in or around FL, on account of FL drivrers :whipping2 I kid, I kid.

There isn't a good reason not to do the TBU, I mean, in an emergency it could make it worth the $$$ in a single use. I need to do it on mine, came from driving things like a GSR Integra w/Hawk pads a d brembo rotors or an Evolution8 that had brembos all around.... yeah the t4r brakes feel like bicycle brakes. I just keep seeing different info about doing the 13WL with the 16" 3-spokes and fitment issues

You can do it. You just either have to use a wheel spacer or grind a little of the extra meat out of the calipers. (there is plenty extra there)

That's what I thought, but I have been told and seen others say that you have to grind a 1/4" groove in the inside of the wheel. Spacers would be my preferred way, but if a little quality time with a Dremel and caliper will do the trick then I need to start scrounging parts up

Having learned the rusty way, when buying non OEM calipers grab a can or two of caliper paint and paint them before installing.

I bought a used set of 13wl calipers off a Sequoia, got a Toyota rebuild kit for $30, and went to town. I also bought a new caliper kit as well. Four years later, everything is still peachy. The only thing I wish I had done is to replace the soft brake lines at the same time.
