YES. Do it. Grow the beard.

"My name is Brian2sun? Would you care to test my 'wheeling prowess?"

Lolz. I haven't done just a stash in a long time, haha. It's been kind of a tradition for me to start growing a beard after the 1st snow of the season. The last couple of years I didn't because I worked in insurance and I had to look all clean cut, but now I can look like The Dude if I want because I work for myself!

Did some wheeling the weekend before last out in Calico. J-money and I ran 2 main trails called Doran and Odessa and a bunch of mud hills and everything was lots of fun. It was my first time 4wheeling out there and I'll definitely go back. Even though I broke a CV on Doran (which was in an easy spot too), Odessa was more difficult. Lots of steep shelves to climb and off-camber canyons. We had a couple of great nights camping too and had some nice bonfires! The pics are courtesy of Jason's cousin Joey (thanks). I believe they are all on Odessa..

Awesome pics of Odessa! I must say that Calico is one of the funnest places to wheel. Not only is there trails to wheel but also mine shafts to explore. Not to mention you can shoot and do basically whatever you want without being hasselled by LE.

Yeah, it was a blast! When you think about it.. with all the shooting, drinking and general debauchery going on, Calico's still pretty much just like it was in the old west (except now we have sweet 4x4s to tear sh*t up in)! Jason said you guys went out there the weekend before and had a great time too. I've been meaning to stop by the AZ on Kendall and drop in to say hello. We should go wheelin sometime soon!

Nice pics Brian!

Thanks!

How did the new tires perform? Size and tread.

I'm loving them! The tread is nice and sticky too. And the big difference of having 35s is I didn't scrape my skids or get high-centered even once out there. I think I only rubbed one of my sliders once all day.

Cool pics Brian! I too am wondering how your liking the new 35's? especially compared with your old 255's?

Thanks. The 255s were ok, but had I known I would like 35s so much, I should have just gone straight to these when I first lifted my truck. They do make a big difference. They were allowing me to take harder lines and not use my lockers as much which makes it fun too.

GOOD TIMES!!!! Really fun trip and we got good weather. It would be super cold out there this week!

Yeah, it would be freezing this weekend! I saw some D battery-powered electric blankets for camping the other day. I might pick one up just to lay it on top of my air mattress. The air inside that thing gets so cold at night, if it wasn't for that, I'd be fine.

That sucks about Joey, hope he learns that 4Locos aren't his friend, lol.

Runner looks good Brian, what did you air down to? I run STT's and the sidewall's are ridiculous:cool:

Thanks! I aired down to 15 this time. I think I'm going to try 20 next time. These tires are very pliable so I don't think I need to air them down as much. The sidewalls don't seem to be weak though. The rock out at Calico is very sharp, volcanic type rock, but when I rubbed the tires up against it, it wasn't phasing the tires so I don't think they puncture or split easily. They claim the ArmorTek is supposed to be 66% stronger than a normal sidewall. Have you had problems with your sidewalls?
