is j money thinking about making his own lca and pan hard drop bracket?

Jason and I had talked about making the LCA/UCAs for other people, but after a lot of testing, I wouldn't go that route on a DD. The truck flexes with them great and they're strong so they are awesome for a trail mostly rig, but the heims make noise so it might annoy some. I just asked him one day to make me a pan hard drop bracket out of scrap he had laying around because the Toytec one isn't quite as long as I needed and it was out of my price range anyways for a piece of steel and a bolt.

He might make you some stuff if you ask him though. Just say "pretty please with sugar on top". J/K don't say that.

I know it's California and all but still...how religiously do you maintain the underside of your truck...it's virtually rust free eh?, well except for the obvious scratch's and scrapes on the skids and the normally exposed parts.:thumb3:

That has to be one of the most detailed photo gallery of a 4runner's underside. Nice work on everything.

blcktpgsr, that is how it is in California. My undercarriage has close to zero rust. It really is nice.

Believe it or not, in the 10 years I've owned this truck, I've never done anything to maintain the underside as far as rust protection goes. I just hose the mud off once in a while. It's just the dry CA air and the fact they don't salt the roads in the winter around here. They use crushed cinder rocks instead. The reason is because the salt pollutes the lakes around here (which are drinking water too).

We're not living in rustbelt either but we still get barraged with road salt come winter.

Having coffee is much more enjoyable than spraying rust protectant! I knew there was something I liked about CA besides the scenery! It definitely ain't all the fruits and nuts!

I asked Bud to make a custom 3" hole in my front skid right under the oil pan (the normal Buds come with I think only a 1.5" hole). It's just big enough to drain the oil without making a mess.

Bud belly pan, Lil' Skip's gas tank skid and my 4xInnovations sliders..

Is that a scratch I see on my tank skid?

I still need to cut a PHB drop brace!

I forgot about that PH brace too, no biggie. Driffter's welds on my bracket are holding up well so far. And hell ya there's a few scratches on your skid! I got a few new new ones yesterday too.
