Yes Brillo broke down and bought a plasma cutter. I should have bought one a few years ago as they really do speed up cutting steel. So much less damage then torches and loving every minute of using it.
Been wanting one of these, what brand/model did you get? Have you tested it to see if it really can cut the advertised thickness?
I am only on 110v at the moment that will cut up to 1/8 think. I dont have any 5/8 to try let. Being I just got it last week. It's going to take me time to give an honest review. This is a 110 / 240 volt cutter. So I pleased with it thus far. The cart it's on has crappy wheels on it . This one is a Titanium 110/240 plasma cutter from harbor freight. Being I dont weld commercially and use it on occasion. I believe it will suit my needs. On 110 it will go 15 to 16 amp. I doubt it let you goto 30 amp. On 220 it will go to 45 amps. So you can cut anything on a 4 runner with a 115v plug...
