Tetanus 1 was back on the road Thursday night...

Shitbox [ the 1997 limited] has been getting 9 mpg. So the cat header pipe had to come out to replace the front O2 sensor that was giving us the cel light statimg a lean code.
All back together along with a rear driver side abs cable that was in 2 pieces .
So far no cel light. Time will tell if this fixed the lean code.

Well the lean code is gone in shitbox. We changed the front narrow band o2 sensor and the 9mpg went to normal range for this area.
So this proves that the front o2 regardless of being narrow or wide band is a a/f sensor. Thus can drastically affecting your mpg. Is narrow band as accurate as wide can be no.
Nothing else was done to the rig except replaced the broken abs driver side which wire was in 2 pieces. We still have an abs light so I have to pull the code to see what that states the issue is.

Well I found out an interesting rim differences on our 3rd gens stock rims. My sport rims [01 -02] fit my 2009 sport tocuma. While my stock 96-00 rims hit the calipers.
By dumb luck I put the sport rims on it to clean up my 2009 tocuma stock rims and they fit.
While my stock 98 3rd gen rim style does not. I find this interesting. So the sport rims are slightly different then the other ones.

Lol. It has some rust. Body wise mostly just the tailgate. As I replaced its rockers.Nice shop location Brillo. Would love to have that space.
At 30 ft those tetanus 1 looks great!

Be very grateful that your not in the rust belt with horrible freeze thaw ratio. As it's extremely hard on the steel.nice frame repairs.

That's really hard on steel as well. As the metal is constantly expanding and contracting which can make rust worse.
More temperate climates don't experience that and slowly change Temps seem to fair better.
The drier air is another good thing for steel.
Well that's what I have observed anyhow.
Alaska and the artic is a different environment in its own. Good to know they smart enough to stay away from the salt and other chemicals that really react with steel.

well my part of alaska anyway ( north east of fairbanks)..however .southern alaska like anchorage they use salt and chemicals and the cars show it, and people that live near the ocean have tons of rust. We are too remote to haul salt to, and any chemical is worthless as in minutes it will just refreeze. So sometimes intersections etc will get pea gravel....otherwise...you just learn to drive on ice and snow, even in fairbanks, you wont see pavement for about 4-5 months of the year

Hmm. I didn't know that. I figured the entire state would be smarter then using salt and chemicals. This state, is just not smart at all. Not only do they use salt etc. They love to make the highways wet and bare. So all that water runs into the Cracks and holes and literary destroyes the roads.
Not to mention, we are one of the highest taxes on fuels to pay for it. Yet are roads are mostly crap. So
This method isn't working very well.
