Bubba rope; a few pics

I did a search and didn't see much so I thought I'd share a few pics. This is the Bubba rope 7/8" x 30' breaking strength 28,600 lbs.

Bubba rope comes with a mesh Bubba bag.

End loops are 12" long, approx 8" round when opened up.

I haven't used it yet but when the time comes we're gonna give it hell.

Is it just a heavy static rope or is it a dynamics one that stretches? Like anarb snatch strap?

It's a dynamic rope which stores kinetic energy to make it easier to extract a stuck vehicle and makes the recovery safer on both vehicles. More stretchy = less stress on the vehicles and allows a lighter vehicle to recover a heavier vehicle.

Most recovery straps stretch 10-15% while recovery ropes stretch 20-25+%.

So Bubba Rope or ARB Recovery Strap?

just wondering which is the best way to go...ARB straps cost less, but the Bubba Rope seems to have better kinetic energy and lighter weight...anyone been able to compare the two directly?

Resurrecting old thread. Which size Bubba Rope is adequate for 4Runner. Looking at the 3/4" x 30' Renegade or the 7/8" x 30' Bubba Rope. They are around 19,000lbs and 28,000lbs rated. I have read for these ropes to work correctly they have to be strong enough but if you go too heavy they won't stretch correctly and you will lose some of the benefit of the design. Looking to add one of these and two of the Bubba soft shackles mainly for beach recovery. Thoughts???

If it's just beach/sand, I'd imagine that the 3/4" would be enough. Anything you'd recover there probably won't be weighed down with mud, clay, or heavy dirt.

I've got the 7/8th X 20' Bubba Rope and two of the shackles. Pulled on everything from a Ford Ranger to a Dodge 3500, and it hasn't let me down.

The 3/4 is kind of aimed at ATV's and side by sides and the 7/8ths is more than plenty. If you get the 1 inch rope you'll run into the risk of not being able to stretch it with our 'lighter' trucks.

If the rope you buy is too thick, then it won't stretch properly and work as it should, if it's rated for a vehicle much higher than yours. Ideally, you want it to give the best stretch so that it helps you get unstuck.

The 19,000LB size should be plenty for anything like a 1/2 Ton truck or smaller.
