Bud Built rock slider install questions

I finished the passenger side without a hitch but the drivers side (KDSS) is making me hate life. I have the slider in place but it looks like the install holes on the sliders are slightly off and don't line up correctly. I could be doing something wrong, but its driving me nuts. Also the gas take shield goes on the outside of the slider correct?

Ok I got it put back together. For sure there was a hole drilled a little off. I just finished the install skipping that one bolt. I will just have to take it easy on the drivers side from now on. :moping:
