BudBuilt Sliders vs. Shrockworks Sliders???

Ah, so those of you calling them "kick-outs" were referring to "bump-outs". I thought kick-outs were the ones like this:

Anyone have the BudBuild ones on a Limited? PLEEEASE share pics

I believe the only company making sliders for LTD's and SR5's without modding the rocker panels is Rocky Road Outfitters
Same for me as GreerAZ--got the SW before i "discovered" BB. Good quality (just took forever to get so repeating if you're in a rush SW is frustrating to work with.) Bud was super helpful working on the skidplates and winch mount. BB is my def go to shop now--Likely will replace the SW w/BB bump outs at some point.

I would check his build page but if I'm not mistaken he also did the Trail convert mod so his pics may not be what you are looking for. Anyways, from what I hear he really likes the BB sliders but I don't want to speak for him :hello:

If you want sliders on a limited you'll need to either remove the rocker covers or trim them down. The only other option I have found are the RRO sliders that go under the rocker covers.
I will more than likely get the Budbuilt bumpout sliders and see how it looks without the rockers. If I hate it I am just going to trim the rockers and reinstall them.

So, I am the proud new owner of 2010 T4R Trail Edition. My wife and I just picked it up from the stealership yesterday. It's pretty much all stock minus the aftermarket leather.
I am looking at getting some Shrockworks sliders but I am interested in other brands as well (bud built, Demello, and I wish AllPro or CBI would start making some for our rigs). The "selling point" for sliders with my wife is so that she could use them as a "step" to get in the 4R...I have other reasons for them :driving:
For those of you that do have sliders installed. Could you post a pic of them with the door open as to show if they would be useable as a step?
BTW...I am an FNG around here. I have been a long time lurker/stalker/minor participant on TTORA.org and ToyotaNation mainly for my 05 Tacoma.

They are about 58lbs each... I love mine.
Oh, and as far as BB vs Shrockworks. And maybe this has been beat to death as this is an old thread... But there is no comparision when it comes to customer service, BB blows away Shrockworks.
I had an order with Srhockworks on some LE rocker panel replacements for 3 months. First it's 6 weeks for deliver, then 8. Then they tell me it's to the powdercoater and will ship soon. Then I call two weeks later after no word and find am told that they are having problems with fabrication... it never even went to the powdercoater at all. I finally had to just cancel my order, pretty disappointed. I like the look and functionality of the Shrockworks products, probably my favorite front bumper on the 5th Gen so far... but at this point I will probably never place an order with them again.
BB on the other hand... nothing but good things to say about their products and customer service. Timely, truthful and upfront. Good stuff.

Each vehicle is different. A 5th gen really benefits from them as the wheels and fenders are wider than the body of the vehicle. They are designed as a pivot point to keep things from hitting the rear quarters and tires. You do increase your overall width, but not enough to cause a problem in 90% of the applications.
