Just bought a 2013 4Runner and ordered an AVS bug deflector from Amazon. When I installed it, the hood wouldn't close. I tried adjusting the rubber stoppers on either end but no dice. Anyone have similar issues? Not sure why it wouldn't fit.
SR5? The AVS deflector worked fine on my '13 SR5. No problem with the hood closing. The only "rubber stoppers" I recall are the peel-and-stick pads that go on the back side of the deflector, towards the windshield. They keep the deflector from hitting the hood and potentially scratching the paint, but honestly, I don't know that the wind would get strong enough to bend the deflector that much.

It would be much easier to help if you had provided at least one image of the part that you're having trouble with; particularly where the "Bug deflector" interferes with the hood.
Perhaps, you could snap a few shots of your truck, focusing on where the new hardware fastens onto the underside of the hood so someone can help you...without guessing at it.
