I installed mine even after they told me to send it back. It fits fine, so I am keeping it.
X2 - Bought mine @amazon - was $15 more but free ship so saved 5$ vs Weathertech direct.

I ordered the AVS from Amazon, $45 I believe, my wife ordered it for me. Shipped to the house in two days, took me longer to get the plastic wrap off than to install it.
The screws continue to turn in the nylon inserts, won't tighten, so I am going to go up one size and also change to SS.

Are AVS bug deflector II safe when going through a power car wash? I want to make sure that they won't split into pieces.

I like 'em all but am leaning towards the OEM.
Question: why do some OEM's have these little rivets or buttons along them (see posts #2 and #24) and other OEM's don't?
Are there different versions or options? Do you have to drill holes through the deflector if you go this route?

Considering it was shipped in a large box with no cushioning and probably was bounced around plenty while it was shipped across the country with no damage a car wash should be no problem. It's pretty heavy material.

Also like this solution a lot. Any thoughts on potential impact if this product is removed specific to the 3M tape? That part worries me a bit.

That is the OEM deflector from Toyota.
I contacted WT to get the details on the proper model to order for my 2015 and they told me WT gets their bug deflectors from an outside vendor. Also will not update their website past 2013.
In addition, the person I talked to was not too friendly, seemed like I was bothering her.
I ordered an AVS off of Amazon, Prime shipping and could not be more pleased. It took me all of 10 minutes to install. Hood closes easy. Looks great against the MG color.
