So after waiting going to two weeks to contact a vendor here, I called up a buddy that does a lot of metal work. He is going to fab up some sliders for me to the specs that I want, and will only take around two days rather than a few weeks.
So, here is where your input is requested. Those that have sliders, what would you change, and why?
Right now I am thinking .120 wall square tubing for the "slider" section, then 1 3/4 .120 wall round tubing for the step and kick out section. I plan on a design similar to BudBuilt's with a kick out as that was my original plan. I also plan on a 45 degree angle approach and departure edges similar to Rocky Road sliders, and the "step" portion stepping up similar to the SW and Rocky Roads. I am unsure if I am going to do bolt or weld ons at this point.
Now I am sure that tomorrow I will get a call back and throw the whole thing off, but at half the price I am leaning to some custom built sliders.
