Anyone ever hear of the bulbzilla? Performance Products has it in their catalog. It looks like it allows you to install a high beam bulb into the low beam socket. Anyone have this? Anyone ever seen this in the catalog? Looking for a lighting upgrage, this souds logical.

come on guys......someone here has seen this before? Page 67 of the spring/summer 2007 performace products magazine. Its a wiring harness.

I think it means you can put a 9005 bulb in the 9006 socket. Your reflector would still have the same beam pattern as normal but it would just be much brighter.

here it is

I'd like to see how much brighter the fog lights would be.

Can't tell from your pics... but if it's converting 9005 bulbs to use in 9006 sockets, you don't need to buy the adapter. The difference between a 9005 and 9006 is tabs in the bulb. You can cut the tabs off with an Xacto knife and run 9005 bulbs in your low-beams.

Here's how.

I've got the Bulbzilla and 9005s. The modification on the new 9005 is easy, and the light is better. I have excellent high beam light from in front of the car all the way out and low beam is now much brighter.

thanks hwheeler. I know someone here would have to have this mod. I think I am going to get the bulbzilla, with the Silverstar ultras. I have run the regular silverstars in other vehicles and I liked them. I am confident that the ultras will be even better.

I found the Sylvania Ultra Silverstars to be the best replacement bulb for the 4Runner (color & brightness).
