I appreciate the input. I dont plan to bounce off rocks and trees anytime soon.

We aren't talking about bouncing off rocks and trees. The grill guard actually works in that situation. Assuming you spend most of your time on roads (most 4Runners do), the problem is when you bounce off another car.

True. They are not easy to get to, but pretty easy to remove / install the bull bar. 3 bolts on each side.
