MT Sliders SR5

Here are pictures of MT sliders on SR5 with rocker panel still installed. Roughly 12" clearance front and back. Didn't take a real good side shot, but you can see the profile. These are really nice.

Aside from an incomplete weld that I was instructed to "JB Weld" by Budbuilt, I was quite happy with my half treads. I planned on doing Budbuilt bump outs on my Tundra as well, but the guys at Sierra Expeditions are working on something for me locally. I am sure you will be happy with them, I sure liked mine.

I installed my bump outs from Bud on Saturday...sorry for the terrible picture.

I really like them so far they work well as a step, they stick out far enough to prevent most door dings, and once the truck is paid off I'm sure they'll do just find offroad.

Here Ya go. Got them up this morning. They are the OPOR 4Runner Trail Edition Sliders on my Sr5.

Now, are my eyes deceiving me, or did you remove the rocker panels here? And if so, were these the SR5 sliders, or did you go with the trail sliders, intending to trim/remove the rockers anyhow?

Yep those are with removed sr5/limited rocker panels. He ordered shrockwork trail edition rocker panels to install in the post just above yours.

With a cut rocker you'll loose about 2" inches of step. This is why I'm going with bud built regular sliders with full tread plate. They end up being pretty close in price.

Won't the bud built straight sliders sit even closer?

I really want to compile a thread with a bunch of pictures of sliders from different angles because im sure everyone that has bought them wishes there was a consolidation place to view all the angles at one time :O

I did not spay mine with anything extra. They look as great as when I put them on. I have put nicks in the coat, but that's cool. Battle wounds.

If you take it off road and use your sliders then whatever you put on there will get scraped off eventually. I'd just leave the powdercoat alone and use something like tremclad to touch up any nicks or scrapes.

Just to add. Shrockworks does offer a plated version now. It was mentioned last week when I was ordering mine. I did not get them but its another option foe those looking for more step room

I like my Hefty Fabworks with the bump out. Has the secondary benefit of a step for my wife, in addition for me for the rack and washing.
