Took my spare out today to get ready to sell it, and found some strange marks on the tire from the underbody of the truck.
Have you guys seen anything like this?
That's just the tire rubbing up against the frame of the tire carrier underneath. It's not anything dangerous if that's what you're concerned about.
I was a little concerned because it seriously looks "burned" or "melted" like the underbody of the truck was very hot against the tire sidewall.
Would this pose any kind of an issue for those wishing to run a 5-tire rotation schedule? Since they'd be rotated out every 5-10k I imagine it wouldn't be as pronounced, but thought I'd ask those with more experience. I plan on doing 5-tire rotations once I get 33's.

I noticed the same marks on my spare. Aside from the wheel being yellow, it operated as it was intended to when I tore my sidewall. As Swarty said, I think you'll be fine.
Side note: Awhile ago, 1engineer was kind enough to post the "benefits" of a 5 tire rotation, and, regarding JSparky's comment, his first post should be noted.

I know right? I have no idea what goes through my mind and possesses me to write posts like that...
