Burtman Industries.. wtf?

Has anyone recently purchased anything from Burtman Industries? I paid for a True Flow Air Filter for my v8 4runner on the 21st of November and still haven't received any sort of shipping/tracking information.

I emailed them and got a reply from Jason to confirm my phone # assuming he was going to call me, but haven't heard anything else.

Just seeing if someone might know something I don't since I'm pretty new to the 4runner 'sites'

I had a hard time getting my order from him 1.5 years ago. He wouldn't respond to emails but would respond to texts. I had to threaten through PayPal complaint to ever get the item I ordered.
 
Well shit, guess I should have done my usual google searches before placing an order with him. I'll have to dispute the charge via paypal if he doesn't reply/ship my items.
 
Keep the PayPal time frames in mind. I think you only have like 45 days to file a complaint. Hopefully it works out and you get the order without issue.
 
not to hijack your post but I was looking at those and was wondering what you guys thought about it. Do they make a significant difference?
 
I may be mistaken, but isn't the Burt Man an active member on this forum? I feel like I see his username quite a bit...although it could be from older posts.

He just posted a few times on November 24th, 2014. He's around. Don't know why you wouldn't at least acknowledge these type of threads??

I used mine for a month then went back to a Toyota OEM .

Never noticed any difference at all .
 
Based on what has been said on the forums over the past few years this doesn't seem Out of the ordinary. Give it a few months and a few more inquires.

Trueflow went out of business like 10 years ago.
 
I bought my exhaust system from him about 3 or 4 months ago. Got a good price but waited much longer than expected. He did get in contact with me and the product was delivered as promised though so I can't complain.

FWIW, TrueFlow went bust in 2009. Good luck finding a recharge kit. These "performance" air filters never improve performance much anyway. In many cases they have even been found to let more contaminants into your engine. No bueno.
 
I got a reply via text from him yesterday, but no follow up. Oh well, I'll just go ahead and file the paypal claim and pickup an OEM filter.
