I was wanting to buy the Satoshi style grille from these guys but I do not see shipping costs listed on their page. Will this grille be coming from Japan? I wish I was skilled enough and patient enough to do the Satoshi mod myself but I must resort to ordering it as much as I dont want to cause its so expensive but I gotta have this mod. Just curious as to what their shipping costs are. I emailed them with no response

Just be forewarned, he (Burtman) does not answer emails or phone calls. I tried several times to buy a lift from him, but no response. If that is the response you get when you are trying to give him your money, what will happen if you need help after the sale. Just think about it.

I have to ask, is Burtman Industries reliable to send money to and get product from?
Curious because I'm looking into a Gibson and like the pricing listed on their website however I do understand they (he?) was, at some point, a forum vendor....which leaves me with more questions. Ultimately, communication issues aside, do I get product if I send money?

DO NOT go through Burtman Industries! They are completely unresponsive and don't care about their customers at all.
Here is my experience:
A little more than a year ago I ordered some clear turn signal bulbs (about $30 total) to go along with the clear turn signal lights I just ordered on eBay. A couple weeks after I ordered them they hadn't showed up and I hadn't heard anything from them so, I called and talked to Jason. He told me that the bulbs were out of stock and didn't know when another production run would be made. I wasn't in any hurry so I just asked him to keep in touch and let me know when they come in.
About 2 months later, I still hadn't heard anything so I called again. Again, he said that he still didn't have them in stock. No problem.
Another 2 months later (approximately 4 months after my original order date) I called to check in again. This time I had to leave a message because I couldn't get ahold of him, no response. So I called again a few days later, still no response. I continued to call every other day for 2 weeks without any response. Finally, after continuing to get no response, I left a message asking for a refund because I still hadn't received my product and didn't get any response from anyone. After still getting no response, I just gave up and ordered some different bulbs from a different company.
To this day I have never gotten the bulbs or even a response. Fortunately I didn't spend a lot of money there so it wasn't a huge deal, but I will still NEVER deal with BI again.

Caveat emptor. I think you have your answer. I would buy from some one that goes out of their way to let you know that they want you as a customer.

This is good to know as I too, was thinking about ordering from him. I despise any seller that does not respond to Email and/phone calls. I mean, how would Jason Burtmann respond if one of his vendors didn't respond to one of his orders or attempts to contact?? I'm sure there would be hell to pay!

I've had good dealings with Jason , but dont think he is into the 4runners anymore , I ordered a lot of jeep stuff from him before and got the impression he was just a guy who made things for his cars that he personally owned and would sale copies for others , I never viewed bi as being a 4wd parts type place or company , I would make contact before buying to make sure he's still selling the part , but I have had enough good experiences with jason to say so here , but these more recent reviews have me concerned ....

I've personally only dealt with him once a few months back when i ordered a sprint booster. Everything went smoothly, communication was good, and delivery timely. Only issue was that I felt shipping was an bit high for such a small package, but he is a fairly small business, so that could be why. Other than that, I had a great experience for the one order I placed. Hope this helps.
