Bushings for steering rack

Hey everyone. I've been searching for quite a while now and have not found the answer I am looking for. Does anyone make replacement bushings for the steering rack? None of the local parts stores or Rock Auto list anything other than a replacement rack. Will any of the universal bushings from Energy Suspension work? My rack works fine but the bushings are shot. Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I found that out this evening at the dealer. Tomorrow morning I am going to give CVJ a call to see if they can get them since they are in the reman business. Who knows if they would just sell the bushings as opposed to the whole rack though.

I just swapped in a reman'd rack from cvj. Depending how many miles are on your truck you may want to consider swapping a reman'd rack in if you're going to the trouble of pulling it out. So far it's like driving a brand new truck!

My old rack was seeping slightly at the inner tie rods but not an appreciable amount. That being said, I didn't realize how tired the old rack had gotten since it did so progressively over the years.

Cvj should be able to offer you the bushings. They may even have a poly option if you're so inclined. I know they offer that option for the 3rd gens.

Very neat...Although the price must have jumped on the cvj remans in the last month or so. Mine was 320 with a 175 core.
