Buzzin Noise from rear?

Had my truck parked in the garage overnight. In the morning noticed that there was a faint buzzing noise in the garage. Naturally I assumed it was the freezer. Walked by the left side rear wheel and heard a faint buzzing noise almost electronic sounding. Didn't sound like a bug at all. No keys in the truck either. It went away after I turned it on. This mustve been happening all night. Weird huh?

Had the same thing. It turned on many hours after the vehicle had been parked, and shut off by itself. Almost sounded like a faint compressor. I'll be watching this thread to see who identifies it.

Between that and the vacuum noise it makes when you first shut it off - this truck is full of sound effects.

It's the car running an evap test on itself. Basically pressurizes the system to check for leaks and such.

And yes it can be weird when you first hear it

It's Google's GPS transponder. In case you don't have your phone on you, they can still track you. The buzzing sound is a self test.
