Cabin Air Filter - which one is the best

I tried K&N in the Sahel.. doesnt work as well as the original

Was hoping it would be an upgrade to the OEM. Now I wish i had kept the ol dirty filter. My truck now gets a fine layer of dust everywhere on the inside. Didnt get it with the original filter. So for anyone driving n crazy dust: the K&N is NOT good enough vis a vis dust..

Use the cheapest one that fits or go K&N. I use K&N.

Coming from a 68 F100 that I've driven for 35 years, a cabin filter is quite a novelty.
I still drive with the windows down 95% of the time.
But that may change this summer. Never had A/C in my vehicle before. Wifes truck, sure. She gets mad that I always roll my window down in her truck.
It gets above 120° here in summer. Occasionally someone would ask if my A/C was broken. "What A/C? My dash doesn't even have vents for A/C".
My motorcycle doesn't have a cabin filter either.

If they suspect drugs and call in a K9 unit you won't stand a chance.

I still think the best filter is the Lexus OEM filter with activated charcoal.

Charcoal filters are cute but activated charcoal starts acting the minute you pull it out of the bag. Lifespan dependent upon how much fumes/odors it sees. Once its saturated its done. At that point you now have a an overpriced filter with toast charcoal.

This might be a silly question. What direction do you have to put the filter back on?

The filter has a "UP" arrow mark, but the air flows down. So do you put the filter with the arrow mark pointing downwards?

I have always used K&N ReUsable filters - Cabin & Engine since my very 1st '74 FJ40. Clean as necessary.
