Calling all V8 owners that want a high flow Y-pipe!!! I can do it. Need your help!

Email sent. I specifically asked for a y-pipe that could bolt their headers without the need to weld them together.

And no luck on that, here is their response-

Good afternoon sir,

Unfortunately we will not be redesigning our header design to accommodate for a bolt on Y-pipe, more as a clamp on system, this is due to our pressing point on the headers is too make them CARB legal. This means that the original cats must stay in place. Based on the 4.7L manifold design a bolt on is not possible as manifold and cat are all one piece.

Maybe you have the Doug Thorley headers, maybe you don't, but there has been an explicit need for this item for a while. I tried to get Gibson to do it, but they made it for the V6 and not V8.

Other options seem pretty costly, especially if you have it made custom. BUT, I got my guy at Doug Thorley to say he'd make them if he gets a rush of emails asking for them.

SO, if you want a good Y pipe with that isn't going to look like a pretzel like the factory and more power and ground clearance, etc, send an email here:

In the email, say you'd like Y pipe, and what year V8 4Runner you have, etc. If he gets enough emails, I can get it done and this will be most affordable option out there.

I've sold over 50+ sets of the DT headers for the 03-09 4Runner already and I know this is in demand. Please try to help out.

Ok, somewhat good news. BUT, KEEP EMAILING IF YOU HAVEN'T YET!!! see above^^

Talked to my guy Mike at DT today, and he said we have around 13 people for 03-04 and 13 for 05-09. We need at least 20 people for each year range for them to tackle this and make them! I don't think it'll be that hard to do it, but you guys gotta help me and keep emailing. Thanks!

KEep emailing, not enough people yet. Keep in mind that it's going to cost about $3,000 to design and develop this, for EACH part number, one for 03-04 and one for 05-06. 20 people are needed for each to break even.
