Out the tail pipe... cats are hot as hell and exhaust smells like oil, on wot smokes blue oil, it's burning it, Idk I'm tired of this motor,cheaper for me to swap it than to pay someone to take it apart

On a good note I dipped my wheels grey finally, don't really like it, I think I'm gonna copper metalizer it. Green and copper might look good

Use spray paint over the dip, pick a color of your liking. It will come off as well.

Yea I bought it from the 4th owner that didn't even sign the title ,found out later, the kid that had it before me is on atl 4runner on facebook, saw on his pic my runner... started talking to him, lookin through his pics and he abused the hell out of this thing... he sometimes response to messages,but not since I sent him I'm gonna have to replace the motor.. figures

I think I will, metalizer is stupid expensive and no where near me sells it. Might just get a copper spray paint and have at it, only difference is might not rub off the tires as easy

Rubs off very easy, done it 3 times over the years. use the playing card trick between wheel and tire. Will make it much easier.

I forgot I had been missing a piece of my rear bumper and didn't care to pay like 75$ for the missing piece.. so I nuked the rear part and painted the frame flat black. After the motor I'm gonna get a rear bumper..
Also with those longer rear shocks I had that road rough cause they weren't fully extending, I traded nykoda for front a rear lift, only put the rear on, 1.5 coil spacer ,pia btw, got it done with rachet straps though. Rides nice again.

Also over the weekend worked on this beast
blacked out the wheels, grill and bumper and cleaned it, helping a client sell it.. it's for sale btw 6500$ 168k 6.5 diesel 3500 hd

right now, a 2009 frontier. i'm doing all the research i can on 4runners and have the one i want all figured out. now i just have to sell my truck to fund the 4r! i spent almost six hours detailing it on saturday and threw it up on craigslist last night. gonna pick up some for sale signs after work today and keep it parked on the street until it goes bye bye.

Just stumbled across your thread, Noted the first post mentioning multiple mis fires. Never saw if you had fixed that with the new plugs an MAF.. I imediately thought about a neglected Timing belt. Then read about the oil loss.
Felt urged to remind you about the V8 being an interference engine. As in if the timing belt brakes, so does the top end of the motor. Saw you picked up a used engine. Thought you might just want to double check that the Timing belt had been replaced in it. either 100k miles or 7 years is the lifespan on these.
Mine slipped/jumped a tooth after a mud bog competition caused the whole passenger side of the engine to missfire. Changing the belt fixed the problem.
Awesome build so far! Check the Dash for cracks if you have any, theres a warranty on them until 2017.

Yea I thought about that but compression was all over the place, gonna just swap it out, and yea I'm on the list for a new dash at toyota the plugs and coils helped for like 5 mins
