I have 114K on my 2008. A shop told me my cam and crank seals are leaking from my timing cover, but I can't find this leak.I know I have a valve cover leak close by the passenger side timing cover, maybe they got it confused?
Is it possible to just remove the timing covers to check condition of the timing belt and see if there are any leaks coming from inside? I recently purchased my 4th gen from a dealer, with no timing belt history. However, when I recently changed my spark plugs I discovered they were not the originals, which leads me to believe maintenance was done somewhere else and not documented.
Here is a picture of what I believe the shop diagnosed as cam and crank seal leak.
