Cam Timing

Ok, so I'm replacing the timing belt on my 2000 SR5 3.4L V6, (it has 185,000 miles on it lol) I've followed all steps and was looking at the cam timing position. I have my crank at TDC but my cam timing marks are at the 6:00 position, and they should be at 12, I'm thinking all I have to do is turn the cam 180 and slip new belt on... correct?

Yes, cam marks at the top and the crank at 0 or the dimple at the top.

Where there at now works also. Crank rotates 2 times to 1 full cam rotation.
So 1 crank rotation would leave the cam at the 12oclock or 6oclock position.

Thanks, now just have to get crank pulley off, broke two breaker bars and three ratchets last night, buying biggest I can find today lol

Are you gonna replace the timing belt tensioner? If not, you might want to get the timing belt tensioner tool.

You may want to try a chain wrench. My buddy who works for Toyota said he uses a chain wrench when he takes the crank pulley off.

No not replacing tensioner, checked it and its good, dust boot it good shape and cleaned,already have tensioner compressed and pinned. also picked up a 1"drive breaker bar from my work with a 5' cheater bar, I'm thinking that should do the trick. Hopefully get it all back together tonight
