just came across ur post. i have these on my 4runner. i think they look pretty good. If i remember they are the lug centric ones andd i had to purchase extended shank lug nuts from Gorilla Lug Nuts.

so did u take it to a shop and they bought them for u or did u buy them seperate?? do u have a link to what i need to buy for these wheels to get them mounted?? thanks! and yours looks sweet!!

i originally bought these rims for my 99 4runner. i picked out the rims and had my friend order them through his Keystone Automotive account. i had first used the acorn style e/t lug nut. When i went to take my wheels of to sell my 99 i ended up with three broken wheels studs because some kid at the local garage cross threaded them on with an impact wrench. What a mess, broke 2 off completely and had to drill the third. I then order the spline e/t gorilla lug nuts. Dreadog posted a nice link to buy the lug nuts. U can order the pro comp wheels from a number of different web sites.

so the spline e/t gorillas are the way to go?? and the best price i could find for 4 is at 4wheel parts for 470 shipped. and with the e/t gorillas i would need 16 of them?? im not sure how they work? noobish when it comes to wheels ahaha....

Just remember which ever wheel you go with, non hub centric and get the et spline drive lugs, you WILL need the key for 5.95! It's like having wheel locks on every stud, you will need 24 to do all 4 wheels! I'm not sure how you got 16?

okay i will make sure to get a key if i get them and yea im an idiot haha i have no idea where i got 16 haha.... so ill just need the socket?


this is the e/t spline drive lugs we are talking about right?? i just have to be 100% sure haha

That pic is the key-socket you'll need to use the spline drive lugs, which are right above that socket in the link I posted!

nice.... now i need to order everything which might take a about a month just cause i got a lot of stuff to do and even if i order now it will be weeks after by the time i get them on haha. so yea and im tired of the white letters out so im going to flip to black walls.

okay i think i might back out on the pro comps cause i can now get my friends BFG AT's with 8k miles on them for 250!! what a deal... its like 235 for 1 brand new.. they are 285/70/17 so i think im going to get these wheels which are black rock 17 x 8. again not hub centric so will i still need the E/T bolts??? also on the 120 someone told me i need the acorn E/T and not the spline drive E/T...... so im confused again on what i need...ughhh

The acorn and spline drive attach the wheel the same way, they both have the extra 1/4in shank and they both have the 60deg tapper for seating! The only difference is how you put them on, one uses a standard hex socket and the spline drive uses a key! The spline drives will give you extra clearance on wheels with small lug holes that the reg hex lug will not fit in! So less chance for fit problems with the spline drives!
