can Gobi ladder be installed with the original TE roof rack

I just got my 13' TE yesterday. I am excited to start some mods on this truck and have just started reading this forum. Very informative.

I was looking at some picture and love the way the Gobi ladder looks. But i do not want to change the roof rack as I will be doing lots of highway miles with this truck and would hate the noise. Does anyone know if you can install the Gobi ladder with the OEM roof rack? Would it be bolt on or mods will be needed?

Also, I know people have touched on this subject on the forum multiple times, but I have to ask anyway. I would like to keep my original wheels and tires, but would like to have the 1.25 inch spacers. Someone was mentioning that there will be a rub, is that true?

Welcome;

1) The Gobi ladder can be installed with the factory roof bars. There is a bracket that connects to the lift gate that the ladder is mounted to.

2) The Gobi rack doesn't really add any wind noise. I've had mine on doing up to 90mph on the highway and got more road noise than roof rack noise. this holds especially true if you do not have (or keep closed) the sunroof.

Post a pic after you install the ladder. Never seen one in combination with the original roof rack.
