Can my new ‘23 ORP use older TPMS?

Picked up my ‘23 ORP and I’d like to swap over my wheels and tires that were on my 2011 that got hit last month.

About a year ago I ordered new TRD Pro wheels, new Toyota sensors that were for a 2011, and new tires. I understand that the part numbers have changed and that programming can now be done from the truck menu. Will the my truck recognize these older sensors?

The Toyota dealer invoice for the sensors that were on my ‘11 shows a product ID of 43607-33022 and beside that is a hand-written part number (?) of 113C3

Denso sensors are 7 digits/letters, no dashes. You need something that will read the sensors in the wheels and write to the ECU. If that's possible with the new models then you'd be fine. Did you call the service department to see if that will work for you?

It should work. I've seen older style sensors in the wheels of the 2023 40th anniversary sr5.

I'm not familiar with the system you say your truck has. Does it have the ability to read the sensors? I would just swap out the wheels and see what it says when you turn on the ignition. Is there any info in the owner's manual? Most of these sensors don't need to be initialized. Once they're in the tire and pressurized they are ready to be read.

I think newer systems can store 2 sets of sensors; summer and winter tire sets. I doubt there is much difference in sensor technology. They have an ID, they sense temperature and know the pressure. Just swap out and see what the system says. If there's a problem go back to the dealership.
