it's located in front of the passenger side wheel well, inside the plastic liner. The plastic connector piece located at the bottom of the piece was leaking coolant.Someone else had a similar experience ?? What is it anyway ?? thanks in advance

Take a step back, we need to know where it's located. Close pictures are good but posting a picture of it's surrounds in good also.

Actually looking again, I think it's on your washer fluid bottle. Maybe leaking washer fluid not antifreeze? Looks like there used to be a hose on that fitting, maybe for the rear wiper?

Look at the passenger side lower corner of your radiator. There's a plastic knob. See if that somehow was turned open.

Ok, you mean to drain the radiator ?? No, it’s coming from this piece that looks like a little pump. The “connector” that looks like it made to receive a hose is leaking. Sorry about the sideways pictures. You can see a drip starting, that’s where it’s coming from

Are you certain that you're looking at the antifreeze coolant reservoir that's right next to the radiator that is empty or the washer fluid reservoir? From the phot it looks like the washer fluid reservoir.

2016 4Runner SR5 is probably right.

I agree with SR5- looks a lot like a washer fluid reservoir pump. Image searches for that part returned a bunch of variants for different vehicles (thanks, google) but looked very close to what you have there. The lines that run from these are usually a stiffer plastic that doesn't hold up to being flexed well. I would check to see if wiper fluid comes out, or even better have someone try it while you have a finger resting on it to feel for vibration from it.

I’ve put that pink summer windshield washer. It’s very well possible. I guess my coolant reservoir happened to be empty at the same time which is odd. Is there supposed to be a hose there ??

Pink summer washer fluid? Even summer blend washer fluid is dyed blue. Why would your coolant be empty? Good luck.

Yes, there should be a hose there. Look to see if there's a hose dangling there somewhere...
