Can You Identify this Line? 3VZE Leaking Coolant.

:help: Hey guys hoping you could help Me out.

I have a coolant leak (drip) from the rear passenger side.
Was thinking maybe the water by pass or head gasket but when we got under there too look we found this!

(see the mondo kink on the metal line?)

this is looking forward from underneath on the passenger side.

My best guess from other threads I've read is that it's one of the lines that go to the heater core? :shrug:

It was also suggested it may be the water pump seal because of the way the water runs against the block?
I'm kind of at a loss here so I'm asking anyone who might know.

any ideas what I'm looking at and how hard would it be to fix?
I know the hoses are a tight fit to get to but I think we can manage.

anything else I should look at (or consider fixing) while I'm back/under there?

Please give Me some guidance, much appreciated.

The metal kinked line is an a/c line. Most of the heater and coolant hoses are along the back and driver side. Could be a water pump. If its been awhile since you've changed teh water pump, its probably a good time to replace that, the wp and the tensioner. It could still be the bypass line running down the block or even the top return coolant line that runs from the top of the engine back to the radiator. I'd check hoses, replace if cracked and then look at timing belt/wp.

Year model and Trans Config?

Not sure what year model you've got or the transmission... Just went and looked at my '95 with Auto.

Concur with above ^^^... "could be" an A/C line but that would come from pretty high up on my truck.
Could also be an auto trans cooling line... ones on my truck run right near the same area.
Mine also has a short section of hardline for the EGR system but it hugs the engine.

Those are the only hard lines I've got on that side.

Crash got it! It was the bypass line running down the block. Had to remove the hood and really get back there to see it.
got the curved shaped hose ordered so it'll be replaced tomorrow. Hope it's just the rubber part and it won't be necessary to pull off the intake.
