can you verrify... wheel / lift fitment

Hello,

I would like to confirm the following info I have researched is correct for wheel/tire/spacer/lift.

Truck = 05 Limited

Wheels to be bought = 18x9 6 on 5.5bolt with an offset of -24mm

My questions Id like to know is what lift do i need to clear either 275x65x18 OR 285x65x18 and would i need a set of spacers as well?

As far as lift goes my truck is a daily driver 18k per year hi way driving to places to have fun winter / summer. I do not do much off roading except to camping grounds. My reason for lift is to A-Accommodate larger wheels and tires, and B- looks awesome of course lol.

If anyone could please help confirm if I will need spacers with above wheels and please recommend a suitable lift kit.

Im looking at spending around 3k on project.

You will probably need a 3/2 lift, although a 2.5/1.5 should clear 275s. The cheapest route is a spacer lift from daystar or cornfed I think they're around $150-250. A better lift would be new springs/coil overs, there you're looking at $800-1600 depending on which lift you go with.

If you have negative backspacing on your new wheels you should be fine without spacers. OEM wheels have about 30mm offset IIRC and we need 0mm or less for 285s to clear UCAs.

Well thats great news that the wheels will fit without spacers. With that said I have about 1k left in my budget so I think a proper lift is in order. I was looking at the ToyTec products they have there 3" FJ Lift Kit w/spacers and rear ToyTec coils... Any imput on this over say the daystar brand products? Seems for a somewhat basic lift the companies listed in the master thread all make the same stuff....?
