Canadians! Where did you get you offroad parts?

Hello all
So I see we have a few modded Canadian runners on here. Where did everyone get there parts? I have been on a few of the sites for US companies. They seem to sell to Canada but of course shipping, customs, etc is always a pain. Anyone find a good site(s) for Canadian off road parts? I am in Edmonton so any offroad shops around here would be helpful as well.

Hi Lift and Warn M8000 came from North Shore Off Road in N. Vancouver, Pretty much everything else off-road specific came via mail from Wheelers Off Road, Sonoran Steel, Savage Off Road and Amazon.com. Like jca21, I used a mailing service in Washington state. 1 hour drive to the border, pick up package, drive home. I haven't (knocking on wood) had to pay duty on anything I drove back with. I did have my lift kit shipped to my house and got :boink: by customs something fierce!

Total aside - I don't love paying brokerage fees (i paid about 50$ on my sliders) but I don't mind paying the actual import duty to the govt. The way i look at it is I have the choice to live in the US (wife is American and job is transferable) but i choose to live in Canada and enjoy the higher level of services that go along with the higher taxes, so is it reasonable for me to evade paying them?That's not intended as a judgement on anyone who doesn't agree. Try getting things shipped via USPS/CP as they charge little to no brokerage and all you pay is the duty (as opposed to UPS that really bends you over)

More great suggestions. Thanks guys. I live in Edmonton so the 12+ hr drive to Montana isn't really feasible. Especially when I would spend more in gas than fees! I have found that if a product is 100% U.S made there are no duties because of NAFTA. The flipside of that is those products are typically pricey because they aren't made in China. But I guess you get what you pay for. I don't mind spending money on duties and like you say UPS doesn't really charge much for brokerage. What I would love to see is a Made in Canada solution for some of these items. Now that would be sweet! :guitar3:

When I ordered my Baja rack I got it directly from them. The shipping is a little pricey, but I acted as my own broker. It's pretty easy to do when it's for personal use and saved me well over a hundred bucks that UP$ would've charged to broker it for me.
