Cannonball Run

Drove from saratoga springs to seattle wa, 2900 miles. Did it in 16 hr a day stints. I was exhausted by the end. I think it took me 3.5 days ish

Salt Lake Utah, to Newport beach california. 8.5 hours :biggrin2:

Lets just say I was doin a little more than the speed limit...

*cough* 110 mph *cough*

But no, it wasn't in my runner.

Subaru Power.

I have done the lap to Burbank a bunch of times for gigs and hate it, it is just a wee bit too long to do in a day and just too short to stay overnight. Now I would rather fly... or take my time. I average around 10.0 in a 4runner always in the winter and always in bad weather, go figure.

LOL when I was young, I drove to Squaw Valley once started and 12:30 am and got there at 9:00 am to go ski. That was in a beat up 81 Chevy 4wd pickup and bridge construction all the way across Nevada. Every highway bridge was torn up and single lane, it made for quite a surprise with astounding power and brightness of wonderful 80's chevy highbeams.

Gotta love them cali roadtrips.

Which Torch Lake? :biggrin2:

Wasn't aware there was more than Torch Lake in MI. The cities were visiting were Kewadin, Eastport, Central Lake and Bellaire.

Beautiful area, but I don't think I'd like to be there come winter!:smow:

I've done 10 cross country trips, 2 in the 4Runner. My fastest was 38 straight hours from Portland, Maine to Tucson, Arizona in a 1996 Olds Aurora. That thing cruised! I did it with my mom, we only stopped for gas.

Most recently my girlfriend and I did AZ to FL and back. The trip back was non-stop, 37 hours.
