I am not able to connect to the internet on my 2012 with Entune. What am I doing wrong? My phone has a good signal and I am connect with Bluetooth and the usb cable.

Well, all of the apps is an interesting phrase. All of the apps inside the Entune app yes. All of the apps on your phone, no.
This is why I skipped the Entune. I think there will be much better functionality from aftermarket head units, and in all reality, it's a pretty easy job to convert them.

I like it. One of those nice to have around features..the traffic, Bing, and Pandora apps are pretty cool. The nice thing is Toyota will continue to add more apps and expand functionality with time.

I just emailed Toyota about this one to find out if it was false advertising or if the Entune registration website is having problems. I am unable to register via the website. We'll see what they say...

How does the traffic work? Is it through XM or the Internet?
Do you mind posting some pictures of your radio, to see how different it is from my limited navigation.
I'm considering going to a dealer and having them install the new one. Not sure if it will be worth the money, but for some reason I'm stuck on the Entune setup. I would just rather stay OEM.

I just had my 35k service, so I asked to see the entune. The sales rep said he had to show me because his phone was already hooked up.
He had problems getting the system to download info. He had to disconnect and reconnect the phone 3 or 4 times before he could get it to work. I asked him if traffic information was coming from the phone or XM traffic. He said traffic info on the map was pulled from XM traffic.
His 5 minute demo along with traffic coming from XM instead of the phone was enough for me to realize Entune is not worth it. I like that Toyota is trying, but they have a ways to go IMO.

Thanks, that kind of makes me feel a little better. I dont know what's wrong with me lately. I'm stuck on getting that system, just seems so nice to have.
I even called the dealer I bought mine from and asked if they can retro my navi with the entune. After a day's worth of investigation, he came back with I would have to pay $150 for them to look and the labor alone would be a grand in addition to having to buy the new unit :jaw drop: !!!

I've seen the system, and in it's current stage, I think I prefer having the Navigation system w/ jbl. Entune doesn't have as many speakers, either. I also take issue with having to "pay for entune". You only get it free for 3 years. What, exactly, are you paying for after that? ya know? I know you pay for XM, but I can have that turned off and my head unit basically remains normal. If I don't pay for entune, what happens? Who knows. I'm just not sure about it all yet. Seems to early for now.. My other thing is, you have to have a phone with data to link to it to use it. My iPhone has all those apps on it, what's the advantage of that being "in my dash"? Only time will tell.

To the OP: Make sure the intune app is running on your smartphone and you're properly paired to the headunit with bluetooth. It also goes without saying, you need a good cell signal (thus for data service) in order to use those apps.

I don't know if what the salesman told you is correct. The traffic interface doesn't resemble XM's Nav Traffic. I haven't had any connection problems. That is not to say I would go out and buy an Entune ready head unit for the current features but what they currently offer has worked well for me so far. Looking forward to the I heart radio app when it comes out.

Could you scan the sticker for us to see? Just black out the vin. I'm very interested to see how it could say entune and you not have it. The other possibility is if you got the nav and 15 jbl speaker option, that would negate the entune. Your salesperson should have explained that to you if you told them you wanted entune.
You're better off without it anyways
. The 15 speakers sound a lot better than the 8 on the entune.

Sorry Dizzy, I trashed the sticker a few weeks ago. I do remember seeing Entune on the sticker, but can't recall if Navigation was on the sticker, which my car has. I did ask for navigation, but did not know navigation would negate Entune. Yes, salesperson should have explained it. However, I'm happy I went with the navigation rather than Entune after reading about it and the smaller screen. Then again, one could buy a GPS of their choice and just put it on the window like everyone else. Lesson learned?

Connection to Entune from IPhone4s
Here is the skinny on the Iphone4s and Entune on the 2012 4Runner.
First you need to download the Entune app and install it on your IPhone and make sure you register. Make sure that the Entune app is turned signed on on your Iphone before plugging in your USB cable to the USB port on your $Runner. It is my understanding that with Apple's last OS update on the phone you can no longer connect your Iphone to the internet by just using bluetooth however you can connect to the internet using the USB cable.
Now, I found that you can connect to the Internet without the cable if you have purchased the additional Personal Hotspot data plan which I have. I am no longer restricted to using just my cable to connect my Iphone to the internet. Once I activate my personal hotspot (without the cable) I am able to connect my Entune system to my Iphone and connect to the internet I am able to use Bing, Pandora, Weather and Fuel Prices etc....
I am a little frustrated that we do not have the additional apps such as iHeart Radio, Open Table, Movie Tickets etc.? Not sure when that will be released. If anyone knows please send me an update. I hope this helps everyone.

Am only chiming in here because the same thing happened to me, but I caught it before I signed papers (when we couldn't get the VIN to register on the Entune website) - and coincidentally at that time also decided I'd rather have the upgraded Nav and JBL system than Entune. But, like you, would have been peeved if I'd thought I had it, then bought and found out I didn't. It's all good, but does irk me the dealers don't know their own product well enough to inform customers.
That said, if you look at your sticker (which I believe you said you'd tossed already), the line item for Entune is under "Standard Equipment" and it says:
- Display Audio w/Navi & Entune: 6/1" Touch Screen w/Backup Cam, AM/FM/CD, USB, Aux, 8 Spkrs, SXM w/90 day Trial, Bluetooth
However, under the "Optional Equipment" portion of the sticker, and way after all the descriptions for the upgraded Nav, you get this line "(Replaces the Standard Display Audio w/Entune Headunit).
Just an FYI more than anything... at end of day, I'm ambivalent about Entune, but am sure it's a nice-to-have. And don't understand why the upgrade is actually a penalty (Entune-wise).

I just bought my T4R with Navi and Entune yesterday and I have all the apps pre-loaded. I been reading on the forum that there should have been a update, and you would receive a USB drive in the mail to update your Entune.
My Entune has been working fine. It just sucks that you need to the iPhone to the USB, and what really sucks is the placement of the USB drive. Having the cord come out of the glove box looks messy. The USB and AUX port should be next to each other, in my opinion.
