Can't find the drivers seat sweet spot!

So I recently (1 week ago) went from an 08 Sport Ed to a 15 SR5. Of course the seats are different. That's to be expected. What I'm having a hard time with is finding that sweet spot for the drivers seat. I'm 6'3". In the 08 SE, my knees didn't hit the dash at the sweet spot. In the 15 SR5, they do. So I have to adjust my seat accordingly but then I feel like I'm really reaching for the steering wheel. I feel like it's more work to control the wheel. Thoughts? Resolutions? Return SR5?! It seriously drives me crazy every time I get in it. I'm constantly moving the seat back and forth.

Does the Limited have more adjustments? I can't remember but if you just can't get where you need it might take a look.

Your not alone. I'm 6'1" and think I may have finally found the sweet spot after a week with the seat on my @016 TRD Pro. Toyota seats always feel hard and uncomfortable to me when they are new. Best of luck. If all else fails Recaro bucket...

Yeah maybe I just need a little time to get used to it. I've adjusted the seat and steering column every which way possible. I like my steering wheel lowered as far as it will go. I wish I was able to extend the wheel out towards me an inch or two. That would completely solve my problem

Well, I just went out and played around with it and realized that the column DOES extend towards me! I tried this the other day and couldn't get it to budge. Maybe I didn't have the release lever completely down?? This may have solved my issue! Thanks for the help!

Thanks guys!

I've had my SR5 for two years and didn't know that the wheel telescoped as well as tilted! I just got an extra 1/2 inch. That does make a difference with steering leverage.

Of course I still have to play a bit when I change from wearing shoes to boots.

Do you really think anyone here can help you fit in your seat better than you?

There is no trick. There is no magic adjustment. I'm 6'4" and it took me exactly five minutes of adjusting. It's not rocket science.
