Carbon Build-Up ... How to clean it out?

I need to de-carbonize my engine. Its a 3VZ-E in a 90 T4R. I haven't done a compression test, but it sure feels like its lost compression.

I have heard that there is a bottle of something you can buy that flushes all that junk out. What is it, how do you use it, and is it the best way to de-carbonize?

Aight... did some Googling... discovered a little magic worker called Sea Foam.

Went out and bought a can... just sucked it into the engine via the brake assist line... and now we wait.

Here in the next 10 minutes or so I should be able to crank it back up and enjoy the carbon smoke cloud!

Will post results here. If it's anything like what I saw in all the YouTube videos, this smoke cloud will be HUGE and the truck should run a thousand times better with better gas mileage, smoother idle, and less noise!!

Smoke cloud was big, but not as impressive as I thought it would be. The engine sorta sounds better... but I have to really listen for improvements.

Kinda wondering how well this worked.

However, one of the things I found while Googling earlier is that improvements are not always felt on the first run. We shall see.

Sea foam is some good stuff, but if your engine has alot of carbon build up, you might want to run some more sea foam through it in about a week or so, also pour some in your gas tank and it will help clean your injectors.
