Carlin switch instal question

Installing the contura Vs in the center of my dash as I have had thhem oreviously installed issue has always been the lighting being right. They would light up when switch on but when you dim them all the way up they go dim. I am getting my positive light off of the green wire in one of the center console controls. where do I need to hook up #7 and #8 on the switch currently have them grounded out.

Please advise even if t is totally different. i would rather do all this now during my whole rewiring with seperate bussman fuse block on my second day of doing it since I am only able to do it 5-6 hours a day until it dips too far init my medical issues. Plus I am a bit too exhausted to sort through all the searches. i did a quick on but nothing came up. Thanks

need a bit more info...single or dual LED? upper or low independent or dependent?

This os the diagram that I ised as it is the one that matches the switch.

Post 7 and 8 are grounded
Post 6 goes to the green wire in the center consule cluster loom
Post 3 is my output
Post 2 is my 12v switched power

I understand the wiring of the switch. Thats not the issue the issue is that the lights on switches are reversed. When you turn the dimmer all the way up the switches dim. Need to fix this. If anyone has added switches in this area. What did you tap off of for post 6, 7, and 8?

Following as I have the same issue. Same switches (mine are 2 LED switches. Amber lower when off, green upper when on) wired into an out-of-the-box ARB CMKTA13 harness for the compressor and two lockers.

I used the wires going to the lights on the shifter. Can't remember which colors they are but there are only two of them.

When the dimmer for the dash lights is in the darkest position, the amber light on the switches is at its brightest. When the dash is at its brightest, the switches are dark.

I'm trying to think of a situation whereby this could happen but I'm drawing a blank. I have several of the same switches, wired as per the included diagram, but mine work as intended.

Is it possible you guys somehow wired these in series with the other lighting circuit rather than parallel?

No I dont think so as I metered the wiring to make sure I had 12v when the parking. Lights came on and followed the diagram. I am sure it has something to do woth the negative wire and that instead of ground it needs to go to a -wire that dims the lights.

I didn't get to take a second look and I won't until at least this weekend due to work. Probably Sunday at the earliest.
