Nitto Trail Grapplers

Thanks Carlo. I've read about that Split Mountain road in a couple of books I have. I also read the history of Juan Batista de Anza and others exploring routes through this area to reach California and some of the settlers who came later.
And I will have to take a look at the Nitto Trail Grapplers for my AT tire upgrade.

No problem. It's really nice out there. Just make sure to have a map if it's your first time out. It's supposedly the largest state park in the lower 48 states.

Don't have anything else to compare my nittos to but they've been great so far.

when you get some free time could you run out to your truck and throw the steering wheel to full lock and take a picture of where the edge of your tire is in relation to the inner fender? I'm getting some F5's and I'm going to run the spidertrax with them and i need to start getting an idea of how deep I'm going to have to cut into the body with these 35s

Where is this in Anza Borrego Desert State Park? Do you have a name for this canyon? I've been doing a lot of reading about the area and plan to explore some new areas this winter. We've taken several trips through Coyote Canyon to reach Sheep Canyon. Now we want to see some different locations.

If you really wanna do some exploring, you should check out the Kelso and Afton Canyon areas of the Eastern California deserts.

Another trip today. A cousin and a buddy just picked up their trucks and wanted to test them out (light grey 3rd gen limited and fj62).

And [MENTION=126717]roro033[/MENTION] being the recovery vehicle of the day. Pulled a Honda Ridgeline and an older Ford that sucked up water.

Agreed! I'm really leaning towards the Trail Grapplers. It seems like they're getting a little more popular recently despite being available for quite a while now.

I know you said you don't have much to compare to. But how much louder would you say they are from stock? And how do they seem to be wearing so far?

It's not too loud. Seems to wear just fine.

MTS is just about the best thing ever. Amazing how it takes the edge off.

Oh I didn't use the multi terrain select. Going down while 3 wheeling was a job for crawl control to do all the work haha. I just wanted to steer.

Going up hills, it's usually atrac or the rear locked if it gets technical.
