Cats on my 4Runner

I did not read all the posts so if someone already said to try this sorry but you could sprinkle some pepper on your hood, cats hate it and when you head down the road it will blow off your truck and be gone. do this long enough and they will find somewhere else to sleep.

True, but I think a deterrent may be my best option. I don't want to start ticking off the neighbors this early. I don't have any serious scratches quite yet, though after saying that I'm guaranteed to have some in the morning.

I'm not angry, you just seem to be trying to make a point, when we are trying to explain that you don't need to. The intersection is you saying it is precautionary, which I take as you sending warnings. If I'm mistaken, I apologize and you can feel free to post all the stories you want. I'm just trying to keep this thread from becoming a flame war between animal rights people and bb gun shooters :arrow:

I apologize that I didn't make it more clear on 'precaution' thing.
After reading your post, I do, however, worry if someone may miss the #$% and leave a mark on the 4Runner, a very expensive vehicle.:bash:

Hey guys, I use to have that problem with my Miata all the time. The little buggers would first sit on the hood and eventually make their way up to the vinyl top .

I found that after dusting the car with black pepper for a few days the cat stayed off. Guess it made them sneaze

Unfortunatley one of those days when I tried to hose the cat down, it left a nice 8 inch scratch in the hood . That was the day I bought a cover and ended all my cat problems (not to mention keepipng the car clean )
